Working together to rise above COVID-19.

Confusion and misinformation around when to re-open, how to re-open, and what we can / cannot do will be difficult for us all. Let’s work together so we can enjoy a meal with our friends and family once again.

Sharing your safety with friends & family

By sharing your household's safety checklist and social distancing measures you and your friends can align on being safe (green) or unsafe (yellow). As stay-at-home restrictions are lifted, aligning on our safety habits will keep us from being locked down again.

What does it mean to stay safe?

To beat COVID-19 we need to follow measures shared by health professionals. That means following measures such as washing your hands frequently and practicing social distancing.

To be green means to have taken proper precautions towards social distancing, limiting contact with outside individuals, and following safety recommendations.
To be yellow means to have gone to a public place such as a supermarket or gone to work due to the nature of your job (thank you for being there) or to be negligent of WHO recommendations for safety.
To be red means to have been tested positive or been in contact with someone who tested positive and must remain self-isolated for at least 14 days.

#14DaysStrong & #MyGreenTeam

That’s great! This is meant to protect others and help us return to a sense of normalcy when we feel uncomfortable meeting certain friends or people we care about. Instead of being forced back into a stay-at-home-order when restrictions are lifted, what if we all follow practices to stay green and increase our own comfortability as restrictions are lifted?
This is all about peer accountability. By sharing your practices with your friends you can quickly identify if you are comfortable meeting a friend and see if a connection of your friend’s has tested red and thus making it unsafe to meet your friend at the moment.
Once you click the big green button up top you will be able to register, answer questions to create your safety profile, and connect with friends to stay connected on each other’s safety habits. When you feel you have entered a yellow or red state, let your friends know! We all want us to be better safe than sorry.
No! This is meant to compliment your lifestyle and the choices you are making to keep your connected friends safe. Our goal is to protect the people around us who are more at risk of becoming fatally sick.

If you need to go to a public place (work environment, grocery store, etc.) regularly or choose to go out and interface with others in a public setting then share that with your friends so they are aware. If you are someone who is avoiding public places, using only deliveries (with safety precautions such as masks, wipes, etc.) within a two week period, then you can share your practices to keep your friends informed. Whenever you visit a public place or people who aren’t green, then update your profile for your friends and those connected.

If you become red or infected, we hope you seek medical attention and wish for a speedy recovery! Share that with your profile so people who came in recent contact can know and their connections can also immediately know in order to create a smaller pool of people self-quarantining.
MyGreen team is a project by the Ira Jaan Foundation.

We are a 501(c)(3), non-profit that believes in using technology to empower communities. Our goal is to make our communities, towns, states, and eventually the country green in order to dramatically reduce the impact of the virus and get us gradually back to a sense of normalcy.

This technology is meant to complement, not replace, all government efforts, contact tracing programs, and WHO recommendations. We want to help us find a light at the end of the tunnel and help each other even if we cannot stay green all the time.

We would love and appreciate donations to keep this platform going!
